The course introduces fundamental security concepts such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability, along with common cyber threats including malware, phishing, ransomware, and denial-of-service attacks.
The course also covers network and application security techniques, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, secure protocols, and vulnerability assessment. Emphasis is placed on ethical hacking, incident response, and cyber laws, helping students understand how to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber attacks.
